Call for Abstracts
Deadline – November 1st, 2011
Who can submit an abstract?
Clinicians, researchers, administrators, educators, allied health professionals, pre-hospital and alternative professionals and all other healthcare providers who work with or are implicated in acute and pre-hospital trauma care.
Selection criteria:
Any topic can be submitted as long as it is related to trauma in the acute care setting.
The scientific committee will be using the following criteria in the selection process:
- The originality of the abstract submission
- The pertinence of the topic and the resultant changes in clinical practice
- The usefulness of the recommendations
Types of Presentations permitted
Presentations can be submitted in either an oral presentation or hands-on workshop.
Abstracts must be submitted in the language of your presentation(s). Please note that translation of presentations is NOT provided.
Oral presentation
An abstract can be submitted for either one or the other following type of oral presentation:
- A plenary conference session of 60 minutes
- A concurrent conference session of duration of 55 minutes, including a 10 minute question period
- A concurrent conference session of duration of 25 minutes, including a 5 minute question period
Workshop
Abstracts can be submitted for either one or the other following type of workshop:
- A simultaneous workshop of duration of 55 minutes
- A simultaneous workshop of duration of 115 minutes
In order to submit an abstract
- Please fill out the on-line Abstracts Submission form by following the instructions indicated on it.
- Upon receipt of your abstract, a receipt notice will be sent to you.
- Only submissions meeting all requirements and received by midnight,
on November 1st, 2011 will be kept for revision.
Acceptance Notice
Acceptance notices will be sent to everyone via email to the principal author/presenter as of December 18th, 2011.
Participation confirmation
January 6th, 2012 is the deadline to confirm your participation as presenter.

Deadline for confirmation of proposed abstracts by the scientific committee
January 6th, 2012
Deadline for speakers to confirm their participation to the ITC 2012
